Terms of Service

Effective date: July 29, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ToolFlock, including our tool directories, editorial content, community features, account features, tool-submission workflows, and any related services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Service"). In these Terms, "ToolFlock," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use ToolFlock

You may use ToolFlock only if you can form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you and are not legally prohibited from using the Service. If you are not old enough to enter into this agreement on your own, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.

If you use ToolFlock for a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that entity. In that case, "you" includes both you and the entity.

2. Accounts and account security

Some features may require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current, and safeguard your login credentials. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Do not share credentials in a way that compromises the Service, impersonate another person or organization, create accounts to evade moderation, or use automated means to create or control accounts without our written permission. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

Features may be introduced, changed, suspended, or offered only as demonstrations. A screen indicating that a submission was received does not by itself mean that data was transmitted, retained, accepted, reviewed, or published.

3. Community and submission rules

Our Community & Submission Guidelines are incorporated into these Terms. They apply to posts, comments, articles, images, code, links, tool listings, updates, promotional requests, and other material submitted to the Service.

ToolFlock supports good-faith discussion, research, reviews, experiments, tutorials, workflows, case studies, and postmortems. You must not submit content that:

  • is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, harassing, hateful, or intended to facilitate wrongdoing;
  • contains pornography, sexual exploitation, graphic or gratuitous violence, or content that endangers or exploits minors;
  • promotes or facilitates political campaigning, gambling or casino activity, illegal drugs, controlled substances, weapons, or other restricted or dangerous activity;
  • infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, confidentiality, or other rights;
  • contains malware, malicious code, credential theft, spam, manipulated engagement, or attempts to interfere with the Service; or
  • misrepresents identity, affiliations, test results, product capabilities, pricing, customer feedback, or commercial relationships.

This list is not exhaustive. We may reject, limit, label, remove, or restrict material that violates these Terms or the Guidelines, poses a safety or legal risk, damages the integrity of the directory, or materially reduces the usefulness of the Service.

4. Promotion, advertising, and disclosure

Ordinary community posts must not be advertisements disguised as independent discussion. We may reject a post that primarily promotes a product, service, affiliate offer, event, token, investment, or business without prior approval, including promotional content written as a review, recommendation, research result, or user story.

If you want to promote a tool, you must use the designated promotional submission method when it is available and comply with any additional terms shown there. Paid, sponsored, affiliate, incentivized, or otherwise commercial content must be clearly and prominently disclosed. Payment does not guarantee acceptance, a favorable review, an editorial score, or organic ranking.

We may label promotional material, separate it from organic listings, request substantiation, require corrections, or reject it. You are responsible for ensuring that your advertising claims, endorsements, testimonials, pricing statements, and disclosures comply with applicable law.

5. Tool submissions

You may submit only a tool that you are authorized to represent or accurately describe. You are responsible for the submitted name, website address, descriptions, logos, screenshots, pricing, availability, ownership claims, and other information. Your submission must not redirect deceptively, distribute harmful software, make unsupported claims, manipulate reviews or rankings, or conceal material limitations and commercial relationships.

A submission is a request for editorial review, not a promise of publication. We may verify information, contact the submitter or operator, edit a listing for accuracy and house style, request evidence, classify the tool, add editorial context, decline or remove a listing, or delay publication. We may distinguish paid placement from editorial selection and organic ordering.

You must promptly correct material inaccuracies and tell us if a listed tool changes ownership, becomes unavailable, introduces a material safety risk, or no longer matches its published description. ToolFlock may continue to cover, compare, or discuss a publicly available tool editorially even if its operator did not submit it.

6. Your content and the permission you give us

You retain ownership of content you submit. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and grant the license below.

You grant ToolFlock a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, publish, publicly display, distribute, and promote your content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, moderate, and communicate about the Service. This license allows us, for example, to resize an image, excerpt a post in a feed, display a tool logo in directory results, or preserve moderation evidence.

The license ends when your content is deleted from our active systems, except to the extent that continued retention or use is reasonably necessary for backups, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement, or content already shared by others outside our control. You may request removal by contacting us, but we may retain information when permitted or required by law.

Feedback and suggestions may be used without restriction or compensation, provided we do not claim that you endorse ToolFlock.

7. ToolFlock content and intellectual property

The Service, including its original design, software, editorial text, selection, organization, and branding, is owned by or licensed to ToolFlock and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, ToolFlock gives you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for lawful personal or internal business purposes.

You may not copy, scrape, republish, sell, reverse engineer, or exploit substantial portions of the Service; bypass access controls; use ToolFlock content or infrastructure to build a competing database; or use our names, logos, or branding in a way that implies endorsement, unless law permits the activity or we give written permission.

Product names, logos, and trademarks displayed in listings may belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not necessarily imply sponsorship or endorsement.

8. Copyright and rights complaints

If you believe content on ToolFlock infringes your copyright or another legal right, email [email protected] with enough information for us to identify the material, understand your rights, contact you, and evaluate the request. Include the relevant URL, a description of the protected work or right, your basis for making the request, and a good-faith statement that the information you provide is accurate.

We may remove or restrict material while reviewing a complaint and may ask for additional verification. Knowingly submitting a false or misleading complaint may expose you to liability.

9. Third-party services, websites, and advertising

ToolFlock may link to, embed, recommend, compare, or display content, products, advertisements, and services provided by third parties. Third parties may use cookies or similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, terms, privacy practices, products, or conduct.

A listing, link, advertisement, recommendation, or "best" placement is not a guarantee that a third-party product is safe, suitable, continuously available, or fit for your purpose. Review the third party's current terms, privacy notices, pricing, and product information before using or purchasing it.

10. Moderation, removal, and termination

We may investigate suspected violations and may reject submissions, remove or edit content, reduce distribution, add warnings or labels, disable features, suspend or terminate accounts, block access, or preserve and disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, ToolFlock, or the integrity of the Service, or to comply with law.

We may act without advance notice when immediate action is reasonably necessary. Moderation decisions involve judgment, and we do not promise to review every submission or detect every violation. Attempts to evade a restriction are a separate violation.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may ask us about account or content removal at [email protected]. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, indemnification, and enforcement provisions, will survive.

11. Service changes and availability

We may add, remove, test, or change features and may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service. We do not promise that any content, account, submission, draft, ranking, link, or feature will remain available or be preserved. You should keep your own copies of material that is important to you.

Directory information, prices, features, rankings, and third-party availability can change. Dates such as "last tested" or "last verified" describe the stated review date and are not a promise that the information remains current afterward.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." ToolFlock disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and uninterrupted operation.

ToolFlock provides directory information, editorial opinions, user content, and general informational material. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, investment, safety, or other professional advice. Reviews, comparisons, rankings, comments, and recommendations reflect judgments or information available at a particular time and do not guarantee results. You are responsible for evaluating a tool and backing up data before relying on it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ToolFlock and its operator, contributors, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, or business interruption, arising from or related to the Service, third-party tools, content, advertising, or these Terms, even if advised that such loss was possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of ToolFlock and the parties above for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid directly to ToolFlock for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you paid nothing, liability will not exceed the minimum amount that applicable law requires, if any.

These limitations do not apply where, and only to the extent that, applicable law does not allow them.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ToolFlock, its operator, contributors, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your content, your tool or promotion submission, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights. We may assume control of the defense of a covered claim, and you agree to cooperate reasonably with that defense.

15. General terms

These Terms, together with the Guidelines and policies they expressly incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and ToolFlock concerning the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization, transfer of the Service, or similar operational change. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or franchise relationship.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, legal requirements, or safety needs. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the Service.
